Journey to 2075 

What will the world be like 50 years in the future? In this engineering and storytelling camp we will explore cutting edge innovations and imagine how they might shape the world of tomorrow.  

STEM Learning Goals: Campers will have an increased understanding of emerging technologies and their role in shaping the world of tomorrow. 

Create 3D 
Bring your ideas to life! Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 3D models and print your own inventions. 
STEM Goal: Learn design thinking, digital modeling, and engineering concepts through 3D printing projects. 

Game Design Studio 

Create your own video game from concept to code! Design levels, animate characters, and bring your game to life. 
STEM Goal: Strengthen programming, logic, and digital storytelling skills while exploring computer science. 

SCI Girls: Invent 
Do you have what it takes to create an invention to help the world? Learn to code, design digital projects, and explore real-world applications of technology while working alongside other girls in STEM. 
STEM Goal: Build confidence in engineering thinking while applying problem-solving and creativity to digital and analogue projects. 

Iowa STEM Explorers 

Do you love a good field trip? This camp is for you, every day this camp will take a field trip exploring STEM careers in Iowa. Field trips in the past have included Jester Park, World Food Prize Building, Iowa State Capitol, agriscience labs, and an alpaca farm!  

STEM Goal: Campers will build a greater understanding of the science and STEM careers that exist in Iowa.  

IEarth 6th-8th Grade (Grays Lake Park)  

Join us for a week of canoeing, exploring, and time in nature in this biking outdoor camp. Each day, campers will bike around Gray’s Lake, be taught about canoeing by an expert from Des Moines Parks and Rec, and swim on the Gray’s Lake Beach. This camp is a remote camp in partnership with Polk County Parks and Recreation and is located at Grays Lake Park. All campers must be strong bikers and swimmers to attend.
