Session 1, Thursday, February 5, 2026  

Brains vs. Bots- Who thinks faster — you or a machine?  

Learning Goals: Explore the differences between our brains and computers and learn how both try to make sense of the world.  

  

Session 2, Thursday, February 12, 2026  

Teach the Machine- How do machines learn?   

Learning Goals: Machines learn through examples, data, and feedback — not memorization.  

  

Session 3, Thursday, February 19, 2026  

All Around Us- Discover where smart tech hides in everyday life.  

Learning Goals: AI powers everyday tools  — but we often don’t notice it.  

  

Session 4, Thursday, February 26, 2026  

Invent-a-Bot- Build and train your own robot!  

Learning Goals: Imagine how robots help others, and what jobs are good for robots.   

 

The science behind the PSS program:  

Pint Size Science classes are designed to reflect current brain research, which shows that academic learning is directly connected to emotion. Young children need a caring adult to share their early STEM experiences, and Pint Size Science classes provide opportunities for young children and their parent or caregiver to learn together.  

Ages 3-5  

Times: 9:15 am – 10:15 am  

Cost per student:  

Members = $11.00  

Non-Members = $22.00  

Cost for parents:  

No additional cost for parents who register for the workshop
